The Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal (RMRJ) has been accepted for Scopus, one of the world’s widely-used citation databases and a respected platform for analyzing peer-reviewed literature.
The Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB) gave its approval for RMRJ’s inclusion in Scopus and notified the RMRJ Editorial Team on August 28, which was also the feast day of St. Augustine.
“The journal includes articles that are academically sound and relevant to an international academic or professional audience in the field. The abstracts are in keeping with Scopus English Language requirements,” wrote CSAB via email.
Moreover, Scopus suggested for the RMRJ articles to be assigned DOIs to promote discoverability and accessibility of published content.
Over the years, the University of San Jose – Recoletos has taken pivotal steps and invested in intensifying its pursuit to be at the forefront of Catholic education in the field of research.
The Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal (RMRJ) started in 2013. It is handled by the Center for Policy, Research and Development Studies. Currently, it has 19 published issues. CPRDS Director Englevert Reyes shared that RMRJ has been dedicated to promoting knowledge through high-quality research publications in various disciplines.
At present, there are only 24 journals in the Philippines that are indexed in Scopus. RMRJ is the lone Scopus-indexed journal in the Visayas and one of the only two journals outside Luzon. Furthermore, USJ-R joins UP System, ADMU, DLSU Manila, UST, and USTP as the only Philippine-based universities with Scopus-indexed journals.
Aside from Scopus, RMRJ is also indexed in ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Philippine E-Journals (PEJ), Health Research and Development Information Network (HERDIN) Plus, and Andrew Gonzalez Philippine Citation Index (AGPCI). It’s also recognized by CHED and it’s a grantee of its Journal Incentive Program (JIP).
