For the first time in two years, the University of San Jose-Recoletos will conduct a face-to-face ceremony for its college graduates.
There will be two ceremonies on July 2, 2022 to ensure that social distancing will be practiced at the Recoletos Coliseum.
The morning event will be for the college graduates of Summer 2021 and AY 2021 – 2022 first semester. Included in this batch are the graduates of the School of Law and Graduate School. The baccalaureate mass for this batch will begin at 7:30 AM while the graduation ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM.
The afternoon event will be for the college graduates of AY 2021-2022 second semester only. The baccalaureate mass for this batch will begin at 2:00 PM while the graduation ceremony will begin at 4:30 PM.
Only one escort is allowed for each graduate. The graduate and his/her escort must also accomplish a contact tracing form before entering the Basak Campus. The form will be distributed together with the graduation program on the fourth week of June. More details on this will follow.
The graduation ceremony will be streamed live on the official Facebook page and YouTube channel of USJ-R.
As of writing, there is still no final list of graduates. It will be posted once the deliberation for honors is over and the list has been finalized by the Registrar.
To be able to take part in the ceremony, the graduating student must have completed his/her virtual graduation clearance on or before June 10, 2022. This means that the student does not have any lacking admission credentials or grade deficiencies as well. This feature is available in the School Information Service (SIS).
Once cleared, a graduation fee must be paid at the Accounting Office or through the payment centers stipulated in our posts. It must be settled on or before June 13, 2022. Here are the rates:
The proof of payment must be uploaded in the SIS account. The Accounting office advises students to check if their clearance has reflected. The system will display “clearance with graduation fee” if the payment have been successfully validated.
The graduates must also fill-out this toga sizing form on or before June 15, 2022. Further instructions when the toga can be claimed will be released once available.
The graduating students are also advised to view this video to be guided on what to do on graduation day.
This article will be updated every now and then to include the latest developments and announcements from the Graduation Committee.
