With the pandemic in mind, the University of San Jose – Recoletos reimagines the way of providing quality education to its students through flexible learning which works online and offline.
This move has been taken in order to adapt to the new normal – a setup where students can continue their formal education while staying safe at the comforts of their homes.
The University has launched #REACH4You as the hashtag for this initiative. To “REACH” means:
R – Redefining academic excellence
E – Enriching quality teaching
A – Achieving sustainable learning
C – Championing peer-to-peer collaboration
H – Honing lifelong skill set
To get everyone on board, the Senior High School Department released a primer which serves as a guide how the new learning modality works.

As an overview, the University adopts a Modified Hybrid Learning Approach. This has two models namely synchronous and asynchronous. The first model means having real-time activities like video conferencing while the other means having activities that students can do offline at their own pace.
This new approach will be implemented starting Summer 2020.
Online summer classes begin on June 15, 2020. For enrollment schedule and guidelines, click here: Summer 2020 | Academic Year 2020-2021
USJ-R SHS partnered with Quipper Philippines for its learning management system (LMS). The colleges will be using the Adelante LMS. The Elementary and Junior High Departments will be using Genyo and Aralinks respectively.
