The Center envisions to proactively collaborate in bringing-out students’ potential thus producing socially responsible and self-empowered Josenians through a meaningful delivery of a comprehensive guidance and counseling program.

Mission

To design, organize and implement counseling services and activities that will benefit all students in the attainment of school and life success, the Center seeks to achieve the following objectives:

  • Deliver a guidance curriculum based on standards-based competencies and expectations that will transform the individual student into a socially-responsible, communitarian, values oriented, highly competent, effective and flexible lifelong learner.
  • Empower every Josenian to acquire self-understanding in relation to career and life skills thus, becoming globally competent and competitive.
  • Intensify collaboration among the stakeholders to promote student welfare.
  • Utilize data from researches and assessments in counseling services and school improvement goals to strengthen the counseling, psychometric and placement programs.

Campus Tour

This is a one-hour tour around the campus which focuses on assisting new students and transferees familiarize the location of the different offices and facilities.

College Convocation

This activity aims to orient freshmen and transferees about their college thrust, faculty and staff, rules and regulations.

Pakighimamat

This half-day activity aims to welcome freshmen and transferees to the Josenian family with the presence of the religious and lay administrators.

Student Development Session

This activity is conducted to respond to the psycho-social needs of the students. It also aims to help students develop their personal, social and psychological growth and development leading towards excellent academic performance.

Job Fair

This is a one-day or two-day in-campus recruitment wherein companies convene at the campus to give company orientations, administer examinations, conduct interview and accept application documents for possible employment.

Counselor-client Encounter

This activity is conducted every second semester to welcome freshmen and transferees of the university through a personal encounter with their Development Facilitators or Guidance Counselors.
