The program centers on scientific theories and research methods that explain, interpret, and analyze variables that influence social interactions, and their causes and effects to the individual or group. It also delves into varied social issues, problems, and challenges of the contemporary Philippine and international societies.

Careers
Graduates of the program may pursue careers in social work, community organizing and development, education, management and administration, research, policy making, among others.

Applicants are expected to be:
