To earn the title Master of Arts in Philosophy (MA Philo) , the student must complete a thesis and 57 academic units.
The Master of Arts in Philosophy (MA Philo) program offers advanced academic training in the critical study of philosophical thought from ancient to contemporary times. It provides students with a comprehensive understanding of major philosophical schools, movements, and the works of influential philosophers across history.
The program cultivates rigorous analytical thinking, logical reasoning, and scholarly writing. Students are guided in producing high-quality, publishable research papers and are provided with opportunities to present their work in academic conferences, symposia, and workshops. Through this, the program fosters a strong research culture aimed at contributing to philosophical discourse both locally and internationally.
Graduates are prepared for careers in teaching, research, ethics consultancy, or further doctoral studies in philosophy and related disciplines.
