To earn the title Master of Library Information Science (MLIS), the student must complete a thesis and 39 academic units.

About this Program

The Master in Library and Information Science (MLIS) program provides advanced training in the management, organization, and development of library systems and information resources. The program equips students with specialized knowledge in information science, focusing on the integration of computer technology, programming, and digital tools for efficient library management.

Through a combination of coursework and research projects, students gain expertise in developing innovative solutions for information organization, retrieval, and dissemination. The program also emphasizes leadership, resource management, and the ethical handling of information in both traditional and digital library environments.

Bachelor's degree related to the master's degree

  • Certificate of Transfer Credentials (Honorable Dismissal) from the last school attended 
  • Informative Copy of Transcript of Records (with school seal and date of graduation) 
  • 2×2 colored picture (any background) 
  • PSA Birth Certificate (Marriage Certificate for married female students) 
  • Certificate of Employment (at least 1 year of relevant work experience)
 

CONTINUING STUDENTS/USJ-R GRADUATES 

(USJ-R AS THE LAST SCHOOL ATTENDED)

  • Certificate of Graduation 
  •  2×2 colored picture (any background)
  •  Marriage Certificate for married female students
  • Certificate of Employment (at least 1 year of relevant work experience)
