The program confers doctorate students with in-depth knowledge on psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, pragmatics, syntax, morphology, phonology, and variations of the English language. The program also provides an avenue to make the doctorate students abreast with the evolution and development of English language and the New Englishes of the world. More importantly it updates the doctorate students with new trends, practices, methods, and approaches in Linguistic research making them more responsive to the demands of the academe, the community, and the industry.
