KOPO, USJ-R to explore potential partnership and collaborative programs

August 10, 2022Lorraine Mitzi Ambrad

A delegation from Korea Polytechnics (KOPO) visited the University of San Jose – Recoletos on August 10 to explore partnership possibilities.

The delegation, composed of eight individuals, was headed by KOPO CEO Cho Jaehee. The team was received by the USJ-R School of Arts and Sciences and Public Affairs and International relations (PAIR) Office with University President Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz, OAR.

The Korean guests expressed particular interest in the University’s English Language Program(ELP), similar to the existing partnership between USJ-R and the Center for Premier International Language Studies (CPILS). This 2022, USJ-R and CPILS commemorate 13 years of their ELP collaboration.

Meanwhile, USJ-R expressed willingness to establish collaborative initiatives not just in the field of English Language studies but also in technical programs related to engineering and technology, where KOPO excels. Further talks are expected to take place after the meeting earlier today.

KOPO is a university in South Korea with at least 35 campuses, 4 education centers, a human resource development institute, and a high school across their country.

The guests toured the USJ-R main campus after the meeting.
