The nomenclature of the six colleges in the University of San Jose-Recoletos has been changed effective in the first semester of academic year 2020-2021.
This after the School Board approved the said move and a memorandum was issued by the Office of the President on August 7, 2020.
Here are the new names of the colleges:
The Office of the VP Academics explained that the shift from College to School is relevant and more inclusive in its offering of programs. It will ensure verticalization in the management of graduate programs.
In each School, one dean supervises its operations for both undergraduate and graduate school programs.
At present, USJ-R has a total of seven schools in the tertiary level. Six of which are mentioned above and the seventh one is the School of Law.
We envision the University of San Jose-Recoletos to be a premier Gospel and Community-oriented educational institution committed to lead in instruction, research, community engagement, and innovation in order to transform Josenians into proactive and compassionate leaders, creators of communion, and dynamic partners of society in the 21st Century.
