Only 2,075 out of the 14,492 takers passed the October 2019 Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination (CPALE) according to the results published by the Professional Regulation Commission on October 22.
The national passing rate this time is down to 14. 32% from 16.46% in the May 2019 exams. The USJ-R CPA Review Center has a higher passing rate of 18.07% compared to that at the national level.
The CPALE is administered twice a year by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Manila, Tacloban, and Tuguegarao.
To prepare for the said exam, the USJ-R CPA Review Center (CPAR) prepares Josenian Accountancy graduates through an intensive review program. As a result, USJ-R demonstrated a 28.13% passing rate this October. Aside from Josenians, CPAR also welcomes students from other colleges to join the review program.
