Josenians who wish to park their vehicles within the premises of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R) can apply for a parking sticker until July 2 only.
Only those vehicles with the official USJ-R parking sticker can enter the school premises and park as part of the peace and order policies of the university.
The Safety and Security Department (SSD) clarified that undergraduate students can only apply to this privilege if they own a motorcycle. As of today, June 27, there are only 15 remaining slots which is up for grabs until Tuesday next week.
Once approved, they may park their motorcycles during class hours from Mondays to Sundays. Due to limited parking space, undergraduate students are not yet allowed to park four-wheeled vehicles.
Meanwhile, graduate school and law school students can ask permission to park their four-wheeled vehicles. However, they can only utilize the parking area from 5:00 PM onward every Monday to Friday and whole day every Saturday and Sunday.
Overnight parking is discouraged. SSD Staff Ramon Hermoso Jr. said that overnight parking may only be allowed in special cases (e.g. the owner was brought to the hospital by the university ambulance and is unable to attend to his car) or if a special permit is granted to park overnight from their office.
The annual rate for the parking is P300 for students, faculty members, and employees. Meanwhile, only P250 is charged from the concessionaires and parents of students in the basic education level.
Interested individuals may submit their requirements at the SSD Office either in the Basak or main campus.
