USJ-R COE faculty receives CHED scholarship

June 21, 2017Lorraine Mitzi Ambrad

Two faculty members of the College of Education (COE) received a doctorate scholarship grant from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

Englevert Reyes was granted the scholarship on the 30th of May this year. He was top 2 during the Licensure exam for Teachers in 2010. The second grantee was Lea Ladonga who received her grant in the following month.

Both are currently relieved from full-time teaching duties and functions. They are expected to help develop the curriculum of the school.

Moreover, they are on a mission to provide assistance and training to other academic professionals in pursuit of innovation and new trends, including the solutions to the challenges with the new curriculum and instruction.

The Doctorate Program aims to respond to the demands brought by the K-12 Program, such as the displacement of college teachers to the Senior High School and the complete change in the curriculum.

It is expected to be completed in 2021 with its vision to produce globally competent graduates.
