The Center for Policy, Research, and Development Studies of the University of San Jose-Recoletos will organize a seminar-workshop for external contributors of the Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal (RMRJ). This will be held on May 20 to 21, 2016 at the main campus of USJ-R, Cebu City.
According to Dr. Jessica M. Avenido, the managing Editor of RMRJ, this will be a great venue for researchers who have hard time converting their papers into international publication standards. This will not only help researchers follow international standards but also aide them on how to integrate the suggestions and recommendations of the expert’s review. “Sometimes, when we send the results of the peer review process to the authors, they do not follow the suggestions of the reviewers. Authors will send us back the same paper without integrating the comments and suggestions of the peer reviewers”, Dr. Avenido said.
Participants from different schools will be mentored by Researchers of USJ-R who have undergone an extensive training in research writing and publication. These researchers have published and presented papers in international conferences. At the end of the two-day seminar-workshop, participants are expected to come up with a publishable format of their thesis and dissertation that will meet international publication standards.
The Recoletos Multidisciplinary Research Journal (RMRJ) is the official research journal of the University of San Jose-Recoletos which is accredited Category A by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). Being accredited category A means that publications in the Journal are considered international publication. Outputs of the two-day seminar workshop will be sent to peer-reviewers in a double-blind review process and hopefully find its way to its being published in the RMRJ.
We envision the University of San Jose-Recoletos to be a premier Gospel and Community-oriented educational institution committed to lead in instruction, research, community engagement, and innovation in order to transform Josenians into proactive and compassionate leaders, creators of communion, and dynamic partners of society in the 21st Century.
