Established in 1948, the School of Business and Management (SBM) is the largest school in USJ-R in terms of student population.
It is made up of four departments: the Department of Accountancy and Finance, the Department of Business and Entrepreneurship, the Department of Marketing and Human Resource Management, and the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management. Guided by the Josenian ideal “Caritas et Scientia” (Charity and Science), the degree programs in these departments endeavor to produce professionally competent graduates who exemplify moral integrity and willingness to serve society. Objectives
The School of Business and Management prepares the students to:
- Provide students with holistic exposure to the business and management disciplines;
- Develop their leadership, management, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Acquaint technologies and other tools of business;
- Keep them abreast with the latest management concepts and practices including recent trends and developments in the business environment;
- Transform them into morally and socially responsible individuals; and
- Remain responsive to the needs and expectations of the industry through collaborative linkages with various companies and professional associations.
