Josenian Community,
We are again made to reflect on the greatest story of all time: the Son of God coming to the earth as a tiny baby boy, not born of an illustrious human family, but given birth to by a poor virgin, in a place perceived only to be fit for animals, beasts. God’s work indeed comes with paradoxes, as He teaches us to understand His wisdom.
We are called to stand witness to the work that God does in and through His Church. This seemingly chaotic and confused world needs witnesses who know clearly the Truth that never wavers, never changes. We are called to put on “armors of light” and to stand on mountains and hills so that those in darkness may be able to see us, and so we may lead them to the very source of Light. We are called to stand witness to the majesty and magnanimity of God, so that — like that bright star in Bethlehem that shone on Christmas Eve — we may be able to draw the people to worship and willingly embrace God as our Savior. Only then may we dispel the darkness and confusion of the world; only then may we be able to create communion.
A blessed Christmas and a meaningful New Year to all!
