Five championship titles were reaped by the official sports team of the University of San Jose-Recoletos during the 2023 Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA) National Games at Zamboanga City.
USJ-R Jaguars won the Beach Volleyball – Girls, Lawn Tennis (Individual and Double Event), Badminton – Women (Individual and Double Event), Karatedo Cadets (Team Kata), and Chess High School Boys (Individual and Team Event).
Meanwhile, the USJ-R women’s volleyball team placed third.
PRISAA National Games was conducted on July 13 to 19, after having been postponed for three years due to the pandemic. More than 6,000 athletes from 437 schools, colleges, and universities nationwide joined the annual tournament according toa report by the Philippine National Agency.
