A Josenian was elected as the president of the provincial-level Junior Educators Alliance (JEA) for Academic Year 2017-2018.
Education student Al Janree Bayucot was the elected president. JEA is a non-profit organization of all education students from the different teaching institutions in Cebu.
Bayucot was with Ron Mhel Francis Blanco, Lovely Mae Coca, and Gwyn Blanche Malazarte during the election. The four of them represented the University of San Jose-Recoletos.
There were also student leaders from the University of the Cebu University of the Visayas, Southwestern University, Golden Success College, St. Therese’s College, University of Southern Philippines Foundation, University of San Carlos, and Cebu Normal University.
The four Josenian students attended an inter-school team building activity for student leaders studying education. After which, an election for new JEA officers was held at the Cebu Normal University last June.
“I envision our members to be fully equipped with the personal, professional, social and spiritual qualities of a globally competent educator strongly committed to contributing to each other’s growth and development and are zealously dedicated and empowered in bringing about positive transformation in the world,” Bayucot stated.
He further envisioned JEA to be more engaged in Community Outreach Programs under his leadership.
