Dr. Jestoni Babia, Dean of the College of Education (COE) of the University of San Jose-Recoletos (USJ-R), received the Garbo sa CNU 2017 Educational Leadership Award in an awarding held at the Cebu Normal University (CNU) on June 24.
The prestigious award was given by the Federation of Cebu Normal University Alumni Associations, Incorporated (FCNUAAI).
The awardees were selected based on their exemplary commitment to the promotion of academic quality and excellence and integrity through educational programs, projects, and innovations.
Dr. Babia was awarded for his significant contributions as a leader in the field of education.
He is an alumnus of the CNU Graduate School of Teacher Education. He graduated with a Master of Arts in Education degree major in Special Education and was awarded the Best Thesis Award in March 2012.
He succeeded former COE Dean Dr. Julieta Catipay in April 2016.
